February 8th, 2010

So the Horde are going to use my poster to recruit players this summer.  I made one change, moving all the text within the red box… They are looking to secure enough players to join the league. Good luck guys.

The 20 Dollar Story

January 28th, 2010

One afternoon, after millennia of arguing, four beings of pure energy and exquisite knowledge answered one of life’s greatest riddles: Which weapon is most effective against a zombie horde? Pleased by their conclusion, they desired to share their knowledge with others. But with whom? The universe was empty and desolate, void of life and intelligence. Since the four beings were so badass, they decided to populate the universe, but in a totally not gay kinda way.

Thus were born humans, half of whom were constructed in the image of the beings, the other half of whom were like the first half, except with a few more jiggly bits.

Having giving birth to the universe and everything within, the beings began arguing about the logistics of mounting high-caliber chain guns to the newly-formed rhinoceroses, except this time they argued for even more millenia than before, like twice as many. When they stopped, it was 2009. “Shit,” they collectively thought. Each being then adopted a form and a name in order to blend in with humanity.

Once on Earth, the beings of pure energy and exquisite knowledge saw their creations wearing a lot of jive-ass clothing. “Something must be done,” said the being named Bloo, and the four being agreed; Indeed, something needed to be done.

Thus was born 20 Dollar Soda clothing. Why the name 20 Dollar Soda? Shut up and buy our t-shirts, human. You know what? Since you’re asking so many stupid questions, elTrain is totally banging your mom right now.

Getting Ready for I’m Board IV

January 20th, 2010

So we just ordered Bloo’s deck for I’m Board IV, the Bloo Bomber…

It turned out really good, again heavy on the 20dollarsoda, and that trademark money green.

2010…

January 19th, 2010

Alright here we go 2010…

I have been working on some designs for I’m Board IV ,February 3 at 229.

I sent the top design to be printed, to see how it turned out, with the idea of getting the others printed before the show. But I’m not due delivery until tomorrow, so it may be a close thing to get the others done in time. Guess it depends on how it turns out and the good people at FedEx.

The designs are just color variations on the same design, I’ve been drawing tattooed girls a lot lately, secretly affraid of losing my sketch book and someone finding it. Anyways, the sleeve tattoo has the 20dollarsoda logo and some random other stuff. Also the speech bubble has the ‘we got flavor’ that will become part of the Soda campaign at some point in the near future.

Also been working on thechingstudio.com , need to get it looking more like I know what I’m doing, what with all this bankruptcy. It’s very londonpolice at the moment, but I’m cool with that, I like the style a lot, simple black and white. It’s definitely a lot less cluttered and visually offensive than it was before.

Fixed some additional issues on rollhorde.co.uk, actually I caused all the issues by upgrading the version. But still it was fun to revisit the site, we changed out the roster page to an editable document, and removed the image that was there before. I think we also added a uniform page, but the site is working really well at the moment. Something had to, right?

Feel like I need to make a toy soon, 3 months of constantly toy making up to Christmas didn’t break it out of me, Viola wants a space marine, so that may be the next project…
